Our story
Two people, one idea
The Computer Hospital began with an idea shared by Phyllis Oeser and James MacInnis: give Houston residents and businesses a dependable place to turn for computer help.
Ms. Oeser, a practicing wills and family-law attorney, put herself through law school while working as a certified paralegal and providing primary IT support for DeLange, Hudspeth, Pitman and Katz. Together with the firm's IT contractor, James MacInnis, she founded The Computer Hospital in 1986.
Since then we have served Houston's residential customers, professionals and small businesses. Our foundation is straightforward: it breaks, we fix it. Today we also offer flat-rate IT support alongside our traditional break/fix services, helping businesses manage their technology on an ongoing basis.
Once known as "Your Computer's Help Desk," we are now "Your Technology Specialists" — reflecting the broader range of technology we help customers use, maintain and troubleshoot.

Our service center on Travis Street offers a central location with free parking. Our on-site service covers Houston and the surrounding communities.
Midtown Houston
3512 Travis Street, Houston, TX 77002. Free parking in front, convenient to the HCC/Ensemble METRORail station. Walk-ins welcome — no appointment needed during posted business hours.
On-site service
We provide on-site computer and technology support for homes and businesses throughout Houston, including Spring, The Woodlands, Pearland, Pasadena, Clear Lake and surrounding areas.
Pickup and drop-off
$99 for pickup, diagnosis and return inside Beltway 8. Repair work is additional. Contact us to confirm availability and pricing for your location.
